The CLCF Grants Endowment Program is a new competitive grant cycle that CLCF launched in January 2022. The Grants Endowment Program provides grants to eligible organizations throughout the communities served by the Central Louisiana Community Foundation.
The purpose of the Grants Endowment program is to fund a project or program benefitting the parishes served by the CLCF. Funding areas can include, but not limited to:
- Projects which enhance and preserve the quality of life in Central Louisiana.
- Projects not adequately being served by existing community resources.
- Projects which provide leverage for generating other funds and community resources.
- Projects which facilitate cooperation and collaborating between organizations.
ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES:
- The grant will be used for 501(c)19 organizations and 501(c)3 organizations, including churches, hospitals, qualified medical research organizations affiliated with hospitals, schools, colleges, and universities.
- Government entities.
- Organizations and programs must by domiciled in the 12-parish region that the CLCF serves: Allen, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Evangeline, Grant, Lasalle, Natchitoches, Rapides, Sabine, Vernon, or Winn.
- Organizations may receive the Grants Endowment award and an Opportunity Grant award in the same calendar year if the grants are not for the same purpose.
- Project/program must be started within 12 months of receiving grant award.

EXCLUSIONS:
- Organizations awarded the Grants Endowment in the previous year are not eligible for this grant initiative.
- Annual fundraising campaigns or events.
- Creation of, or addition to, endowment funds.
- Payment of debt or legal settlements.
- Political or partisan purposes.

Application Deadline: February 29, 2024
Recipient(s) Awarded/Announced : End of March 2024
PROCESS:
The grant seeker must meet the published deadline for submitting the application. Applications are reviewed by Foundation personnel for completeness and compliance with guidelines, but no recommendations are made by staff. Completed applications are given to the Grants Committee. The selected recipient(s) will receive funding before the end of March 31st.
