The Central Louisiana Community Impact Fund is a donor advised fund of the Central Louisiana Community Foundation (CLCF) established to provide monetary support for activities or projects designed to enhance Central Louisiana and the quality of life of its residents. The Fund shall seek to promote innovative ideas for philanthropic projects that offer strong likelihood for broad community impact and for benefit that is sustainable well beyond the funding period. The Community Impact Award was established in 2010 to grant to nonprofit organizations or partnership of organizations addressing a critical need in Central Louisiana. Since 2010 the award has been given to the following nonprofits: Rapides Children's Advocacy Center, Alexandria Museum of Art, Central Louisiana AIDS Support Services, United Way of Central Louisiana (Family Justice Center), Hands Over Hearts, and The Food Bank of Central Louisiana's Good Food Project, Central Louisiana Homeless Coaolition.
Only not-for-profit 501 (C) 3 organizations or Louisiana not-for-profits, which have been pre-approved as furthering the mission of the CLCF, domiciled in the 12 parish region that the CLCF serves are eligible for the grant. The grant timeline must be 12 months or less and take place in the region served by CLCF. CLCF serves the following 12 parishes: Rapides, Vernon, Natchitoches, Grant, Allen, Evangeline, Avoyelles, Sabine, LaSalle, Winn, Catahoula, and Concordia.
The Central Louisiana Community Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2017 Community Impact Award. This year's award is $50,000 and the deadline is 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017. Finalists will be announced no later then September 15, 2017 and asked to make a presentation at 4:00 Pm on September 28, 2017. Award announcement will be coordinated with the selected nonprofit.
