The Central Louisiana Community Foundation is also pleased to announce that the foundation made grants of over One Million Six Hundred Thousand ($1,600,000.00) Dollars in the Fiscal Year April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016. Additionally, the Central Louisiana Community Foundation successfully completed its ownership of the Arts Council of Central Louisiana having taken control in December 2012 when it was in financial distress. When the Central Louisiana Community Foundation returned control to the new volunteer board in January 2016, the projected budget called for a operating surplus and left the Arts Council with a net worth of $450,000.00 on their balance sheet. The Central Louisiana Community Foundation is pleased that it was able to assist in the successful rehabilitation of this worthwhile agency and return it back to community control. We look forward to assisting our other partner agencies in similar ways.
